Adults and the Library

In addition to comprehensive book, magazine, audio, DVDs, and video collections available to adults, the library also provides complete reference services through electronic and traditional means. Seasonally, tax materials and election information are available. Also available are constantly updated folders of information on local entertainment options, child care services, and local restaurant menus.

Adult Programs

Programs offered for adults are sometimes informative programs and sometimes evenings designed purely for relaxation and fun. Informative programs have included investment information, travelogues, self-help, tai-chi, croquet, and cooking. Programs for entertainment have included book discussion groups, poetry readings, drama readings, games evenings, local trivia evenings, "Bingo for Books", and literary costume dress-ups.

People having suggestions for library programs are asked to contact Janet Arden at the library with their requests.  Information about possible presenters should be directed to  Peggy Thrasher.
